ক্রমিক সংখ্যা মানে হলো একটির চেয়ে অপরটি 1 বেশি। অর্থাৎ একটি x হলে অপরটি x+1, এবং তাদের বর্গের মধ্যে পার্থক্য হলোঃ (x+1) ^2 - x^2
(x+1)^2 - x^2 = 27
=> X^2 + 2X+1 - X^2 = 27
=> 2X+1=27
.'. X = 13 & X+1 = 14
